The Lx Polarized Story... Market Landscape...Warranty Info...
THE LX POLARIZED STORY..
Congratulations...you found us! You'll be happy you did!
Lx Polarized is a small sunglass brand dedicated to the notion that you should get more than what you pay for. We build polarized sunglasses in Japan and deliver them to you at an extremely affordable price. Our newer pieces are hand crafted from acetate and only cost about $80! We do this by cutting out all the marketing and overhead that goes into most of the sunglasses in the marketplace.
Lx Polarized is product driven - not marketing driven. We don't waste your time and your money on advertising that attempts to make you feel like you need to be part of something larger by wearing our logo. In fact, our new logos are hardly noticeable and we like that. We aren't here to promote ourselves but to build you a better pair of polarized sunglasses.
We don't waste paper on brochures, or print ads, or packaging that is thrown away the moment you get it. We make polarized sunglasses for your face.
Shipping is also included in all US bound orders. International orders have a few dollars extra to pay for their air mail.
MARKET LANDSCAPE TODAY...
Lx Polarized previously existed in a different format and as a different brand. That earlier brand started with the letter "L" and - though we can't go into too much detail - it competed in the surf / wakeboarding marketplace with a host of other national and international brands. It morphed into Lx Polarized just as the overall sunglass landscape was becoming a virtual monopoly. We saw it coming and made it our mission to deliver a better polarized product at a better price than any other brand. The only way to do so was to get away from the traditional physical retail stores and into the online marketplace. We also had to get away from the traditional marketing of print advertising and paid athlete endorsements. This allows us to put all our efforts into the polarized product, where we can deliver you a high quality piece for 1/3rd of what you would pay in the traditional marketplace.
Today, if you go into the best known sunglass retailer in the world, almost all of the brands inside the store will be owned and manufactured by the company that owns the store. The $300 fashion piece you buy in the mall store is about $20 of product (that's being a bit generous) and $280 of brand royalties, marketing and overhead tracing all the way from the mall to the factories in Italy and China. Not the best deal if you ask us. And worse yet, they're probably not even polarized for that price.

Lx Polarized sunglasses possess a warranty against all manufacturer faults and defects. LX Polarized is not accountable for any damage sustained as a result of misuse. Sunglasses which have been dropped, sat on, driven over, closed in car doors, scratched by the keys in your purse, chewed on by your dog, struck by a falling coconut, ripped from your face by your small child, left on your dashboard in the hot summer sun, etc, are not manufacturer’s defects. Those are just victims of life as we know it.. However, Lx Polarized might be able to repair some damaged glasses for a nominal fee. Email us if you have any questions.
Keep in mind... sunglasses are meant to be used, not abused. And some people use them harder than others.. some live in the sun and work outdoors, and some are just lucky to get outside in the sun once a week! Please be aware of the realistic life span of your glasses.
